Castro’s “Pre-Crime” Victim, Cuban Punker Gorki, Thrown In Prison - With Video
Remember the flick “Minority Report”? … Yeah … Waiting for Sting, Bianca Jagger, the Sarandon/Robbins’s and the rest of the consciencious “artists” in the world music industry to get together and storm the grounds of Castro proper for this man’s release from prison for “artistic expression” …The next time I hear some son of a bitch saying freedom of speech has been damaged in this country under this Administration I think you might be hearing about me on the 11:00 news for shooting from the roof of some fucking building … probably a fucking “record store” … if they still exist … or movie theater, a dollar one showing “Redacted”. What fucking “music artist” in this country, or front page hungry celebrity hasn’t said and put to song far fucking WORSE about our President and our government … and are still roaming the public streets unfettered in their sports cars with open booze bottle in hand, or coke spoon up the snout?
Anyhow, I’d be a fair weather friend to my newly found Cuban-American community friends if I didn’t join other bloggers and online news outlets in bringing this to you for consideration.
Gorki Aguila is the front man for a punk rock group called Porno Para Ricardo whose lyrics are harshly critical of the Communist Castro regime. Arrested in Havana a couple days ago he will stand trial for “dangerousness” on Thursday.
My Punk Rock days were sweet, but very short-lived … but he don’t sound half-bad compared to some. Gee … wonder if Gorki T-shirts might out sell Che T-shirts in the near future … eh, doubtful. Some people just can’t get a ‘clue’ …
