Not only are they more compassionate they are also, obviously, more intellegent. They care more for the life of a human child than the birth-mother of that same child.
How sad our society has become, when animals care more for our young than we do.

FWIW: After Beslan woke us up to possible assaults on our schoolchildren, I think it would be wise for all schools to adopt the dogs in shelters and keep them as a barrier against all muslim terrorists.
