” I just feel at ease out here talkin’ to her (every day). But I guess it’s not (as important as my life). He said give me your wallet, and I looked at him, and he said or I’ll pop you…the other guy that was standing over the car said, if he don’t get you I will.”

Police are looking for the armed man who robbed an elderly widower while the man visited his wife’s grave in McKean.

State police said Vincent H. Ore, 83, of Erie, was his wife’s grave at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, when Ore was approached by a man who demanded money.

The man took $47 from Ore and slashed a tire on Ore’s car before he drove away east on West Road.

Police described the man as white, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 145 to 160 pounds and in his mid- to late 30s. The robber was last seen wearing blue jeans, a long-sleeve shirt of undetermined color and prescription-type sunglasses.

Anyone with information is asked to call the state police at 898-1641.
