Info babe said - “Barstow, California, folks if you’ve never been there”, at which point Keela Carr started laughing.

Yeah, I’ve been there, it’s a great place to drive past on the freeway.

I couldn’t find the “Message from Barstow” scene from “1941″, where the motorcycle messenger is covered with half an inch of Cali. desert.

Found this though…John Milius directed the trailers.

Thank you Ma’am for this special effort on behalf of our wounded warriers…

If there is any kind of fund set up to help this young lady in this effort…please let me know…she also deserves our financial support…

 I wanna give her a hug.

One of the best things you can do is send care packages over to those deployed. You have no idea how great it is to get a box full of goodies from some one you don’t knkow. Specially when they got toys in them. My favorites are the ones from schools.

I may not speak for every body. But I’ve never asked for a lot from people. When someone thanks me, offers me things. I feel awkward. The most I’m really comfortable with is maybe a hug. Some of the girls that give me hugs are quite good looking.
The best I’ve ever gotten was once when I was on leave. I was at a party a friend threw for me. Someone heard I was a Marine. He instantly started talking shit. I didn’t have time to counter. Because just as fast every guy at the party was between us. All of them ready to go toe to toe with the guy on my behalf. That was by far the greatest thanks I have ever received.
Damn I’ve had a good amoutn of beer.

That’s an amazing lady. Thanks for the story. It would be great if, like JEM wrote, we were given an update about her. I’d imagine she needs a job right about now. (I’d add one of those icons here but I’ve never been able to get them to work.)

God Bless her, wouldn’t it be nice if every citizen walked in her shoes. or just made that huge sacrifice of saying Thank you to any servicemember they run into.
