While at Occidental college he became close friends with two Pakistanis, Mohammed Hasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid. In 1981 he traveled with Mohammad Hasan Chandoo to Pakistan and stayed there for about three weeks. It is rather unusual for a less-than-wealthy college kid to choose far-away Pakistan as a summer break destination, but not necessarily suspicious. For some reason however, Obama has never publicly cited these relationships or his time in Pakistan. Why not?
In his book “Dreams from My Father,” Obama does talk of having a different Pakistani roommate when he later moved to New York, a man he calls Sadik who “had overstayed his tourist visa and now made a living in New York’s high-turnover, illegal immigrant work force, waiting on tables.” Strangely, Mr. Obama, the campaign and his publisher have not provided any details about the identity of Sadik.
…why all the secrecy about his travel to Pakistan in 1981? Why no mention of it before in public or in his two books about himself? Why the mystery about “Sadik”?”

Oh, by the way, he and his advisors like Goolsby (or whatever his name is) lie about their tax policies, saying “their tax cuts are bigger than McCain’s.” What a lie. What they do is raise the marginal top two rates, raise various payroll, etc. taxes and then put in “tax credits” for people that pay NO TAXES, thereby, the credits for people that don’t pay taxes are counted as “cuts”. They are actually welfare payments. He’s put in a raft of them–people will be getting checks in the mail from the government. It will be heaven for hand out mavens. Even his “windfall tax” on oil companies is a welfare payment–he takes money from the oil company that they earned and is giving to “people that need help” paying for gas.

August 19th, 2008 at 8:43 pmIn his memoirs, Obama turned real-life people into “composite” characters. Meaning, he combined two or more people into one person. Obama brazenly confesses this in the Introduction to Dreams From My Father but the press let it slide.
Obama did not point out who the composite (fake)characters are.
He also screwed with the dates: “…some events appear out of precise chronology.”
I’ve been saying for a long time that it’s impossible for journalists to do background on Obama, at least if they’re using his memoirs. Did he have an uncredited ghost writer like Hillary Clinton (”It Takes a Village”)? If so, he can blame it on that person.

August 20th, 2008 at 7:44 amAccording to the pleading filed in the US District Court in Philadelphia, Obama made a trip to Pakistan in 1981 on an Indonesion passport.
While that may be very significant to a resolution of the question of Obama’s US citizenship, it also has a very chilling additional potential.
Just WHY did Obama go to Pakistan in 1981? The entire substructure of the current jihad and Al-Qaeda was being formulated and organized by Bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri in Pakistan at the time; the country was in turmoil. It would be interesting to know:
1. Why Obama went;
2. Where, exactly in Pakistan did he go;
3. How long did he stay; and, last but probably most importantly,
4. Who did he meet and what connections did he establish
I don’t think that the trip was for Spring Break, do you?
I am pleased to see that someone else has the same questions.

September 3rd, 2008 at 5:57 amI believe there were State Department travel restrictions to Pakistan after the shooting started in neighboring Afghanistan, following the Russian invasion.
What passport did Obama use–his passport from a Muslim country (Indonesia)? That would have gotten around the US restriction. But, in 1981, Obama was 20. During his 18th year, he would have been required to register for the Draft and entitled to repatriate his US citizenship (if he ever had it). Show me a record of this repatriation (allowed for minors) and/or the passport he used to go to Pakistan.
