“I’ll See You At The Debate, Bitches” - Paris Hilton Strikes Back With What Is Somehow The Best Ad Of The Campaign - With Video
Look, no one outdoes me in terms of an immediate allergic reaction to even just hearing this bitch’s name. I know you hate her and all she stands for, but I do, more. That being said, other than a close runner-up in McCain’s “The One”, this little skank has made what is actually the best ad of the entire campaign season so far. Including the primaries. It’s just good writing, and her understanding the point of the spot enough to have just the right attitude as she delivers her lines. The biggest reason it works is because she makes fun of herself throughout, and all the irony of the entire situation drips from the screen. The whole thing just feels like everyone involved “got it” in terms of the gestalt of this fleeting and indeterminately important ( ie, did McCain strike a chord with voters in his original ad or not? ), but highest-of-profile political moments.
