Journalist In Clash With Police At China Olympics

August 14th, 2008 Posted By drillanwr.

Okay … I am going to say something here … and I am NOT defending the Chinese government here.

If the Games had been held in the States, and the ‘protest groups’ and such threatened to cause major disruptions and such, our own security/police forces would do pretty much the same thing …

Now then, to hear these “journalists” carry on about, “I’m a journalist … why are you arresting me?” … Man! Your press pass doesn’t exempt you from the authority of local police … Sounded to me the “journalists” escalated the tension and bullshit. I wouldn’t put it past the “journalists” to instigate this shit … I’m just sayin’.

Why does he keep asking him shit in english when it’s pretty obviously they don’t speak it?

His clothes are intact, no blood, and his head is hanging out of the paddywagon. He really has no idea what “force” really is.

“I’m a journalist … why are you arresting me?”

Cuz you’re a loudmouthed English douchebag in a communist country that doesn’t know when to STFU and was on the outer fringes of a protest that was obviously in the process of being “silenced” by the authorities, so you got swept up too. Should have stuck to covering the Olympics or stayed in your hotel room. You think losing your shoes was bad? Enjoy your full body cavity search.

    I’m a journalist, I’m a journalist…

    You are stupid too.

I realise he is playing to that he is being arrested in a communist country that likely doesnt allow protests I have to laugh.

I doubt he was doing anything wrong as he says. the chinese dont want any bad publicity so they likely have orders to temporarily detain anyone invoolved.
