Kobe Bryant … Simply Patriotic, And Proud To Be An American - With Videos
I haven’t been an NBA fan since the 1970s … Lakers fan back then …
Anyhow, follow with half-an-eye because I’d really like to see Labron (who is my oldest daughter’s age … and I can’t believe is worth so damn much money!) and the Cavs get the title … Cleveland really needs the boost to its spirit.
NBA players are over-paid, above-the-boards-self-pampered, status-symbol-seeking-snobs, in general.
*** On a side note, when I was a Cleveland Browns fan and watched the games, back before they were kidnapped from their beds in the middle of the night and taken across state lines to Baltimore, I used to turn down that stupid ass Chris Collinsworth and turn up the local radio guys out of Cleveland calling the games.
Kobe Bryant has managed to rise up a couple pegs in my eyes with this exchange …Compare this to the Obamas, their Rev. Wright, and all the anti-American-Marxist people they count inside their inner circle of friends and supporters. However, I do ponder if Kobe is going to vote for Hussein, in spite of all that anti-American bullshit.Having said all this, and only having been cherry-picking my viewing of these Olympic Games … I have noticed [others] noting NBC’s pro-China, China-apologist anchoring at these games.
Major kudoes to reader msunderestimated for putting the video together …msunderestimated writes:
Is It Still Cool to Love Your Country?
Typical anti-American tool at NBC. Chris Collinsworth had a brief segment with Kobe Bryant of Team U.S.A. about what the Olympic games mean to him this year. Chris asked him about what it felt like when he first got his U.S.A. uniform, and Kobe begins to talk about what an honor it was for him to get it. Here’s part of the conversation:
Collinsworth: Where does the patriotism come from ins More..ide of you? Historically, what is it?
Kobe: Well, you know it’s just our country, it’s… we believe is the greatest country in the world. It has given us so many great opportunities, and it’s just a sense of pride that you have; that you say ‘You know what? Our country is the best!’
Kobe Bryant
Collinsworth: Is that a ‘cool’ thing to say, in this day and age? That you love your country, and that you’re fighting for the red, white and blue? It seems sort of like a day gone by.
Kobe: No, it’s a cool thing for me to say. I feel great about it, and I’m not ashamed to say it. I mean, this is a tremendous honor.
Give them a Team USA uniform and they would probably burn it:

How nice of him to say. I hope he kick’s china’s butt.
August 16th, 2008 at 5:57 pmHe just earned a little respect there.
August 16th, 2008 at 6:09 pm^^^Ditto^^^
August 16th, 2008 at 6:38 pmKobe.. Thank you for standing up and being a great American Hero.. I can’t say I was a fan before.. I was not a Kobe fan .. Until NOW
August 16th, 2008 at 6:54 pmThink for a moment (or a couple of days, I will) of the mind set one has to have to even ask that question.
Like the rest of us here, Kobe “gets it” and that’s a wonderful thing.
PS - we need an American Flag icon in the icon bar, but I’m not sure if it exists.

What is this man’s problem? Loving your country is something for the past? No wonder NBC is so supportive of democrats and liberal causes. Gives me all the more reason to never tune them in again (except local news perhaps).
August 16th, 2008 at 7:15 pmas life long bengals fan im glad now that boomer esiason threw all of those high passes to collinsworth. actually might be why hes asking those questions. too many hard hits.
he did play in 2 super bowls. but as any football fan knows, cincinnati didnt win either.
what a douche he turned out to be. this is very disappointing to me.
August 16th, 2008 at 7:50 pmoh and i forgot to add, Kobe Bryant = class act in my book. thanks for standing up man.
August 16th, 2008 at 7:51 pmApologies, because I’m pretty sure the following is going to piss you off.
Who did the Bengals lose to both times…
Oh, yeah…My and Bash’s 49ers.
Full moon Sat. night, gimmie a break.
PS - If the Bengals win this season’s Super Bowl, I’ll be thinking of you…and good for you…and your Bengals
PPS - I’m feeling frisky (NFL-wise)because the 49er’s just beat the “Packers” 34 to 6.

August 16th, 2008 at 8:20 pmI must admit I haven’t been a Kobe fan, but the look he gives Collinsworth after Collin-shithead-worthless asks if its cool, that was priceless.
It was virtually a fuck you you piece of shit look.

August 16th, 2008 at 8:27 pmI used to like him, but then that scandal caused me to lose respect–he never quite apologized to his fans and I didn’t forgive him. I will give him a couple ticks of respect for this.

August 16th, 2008 at 8:47 pmI am not really into basketball, but anyone who is as famous as he is and is still saying that we are the best country in the world gets some respect.
August 16th, 2008 at 10:59 pmHow about George Foreman in 1968 waving the flag in 1968
Great guy
August 16th, 2008 at 11:13 pmHappy
Yes he is a rapist
August 16th, 2008 at 11:14 pmKelly’s Hereos, Kobe is awesome, a great guy and great athlete, I’m proud to wear his NBA jersey. call him what you want but he was never found guilty of what you accuse him to be. nuff said.
August 16th, 2008 at 11:57 pmyou guys are being a tad harsh on Collinsworth. He’s not a “journalist”–he’s a former NFL player working these olympics. I seriously doubt he wrote that question, or if he did, it was because he works at NBC.
August 17th, 2008 at 5:53 ammike3481,
just ran across this and thought you might like it.
