“For such a fine speaker”? Well, apparently he’s not. Anyone’s “such a fine speaker” if all they’re doing is reading a script, especially one written by an expensive professional. All you have to do that’s original is put the right inflection in. It’s called acting.
American Spectator’s Washington Prowler:
According to several Democrat political consultants presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Barack Obama spent part of his Hawaiian vacation working on weaning himself from a heavy dependence on teleprompters. Even in what are staged as “town hall” events for Obama, remarks are scripted or formatted into bullet points that scroll on teleprompter screens. Obama has had several embarrassing events where the teleprompter either malfunctioned or the screens were not fully visible.
“He just locks down and can’t get the words out,” says one political consultant. “For such a fine speaker, it’s really quite remarkable that he’s had issues.”
Obama’s troubles with unscripted moments contributed to his campaign’s refusal to participate in town hall format debates or discussions with Sen. John McCain, who feels much more comfortable in the unscripted moments.

And, not to get off topic, but does he remind anyone of Nicolae Carpathia in the Left Behind series of books? It’s almost laughable, the shit that comes out of his mouth and people walk around thinking he’s “the one”…he talks in Venn diagrams, throws a bunch of words into a couple of circles and relies on his campaign and his media to translate it to meet the needs of their audience at the time.

For example, there is currently a Chicago Alderman, Burnett - one of the most brain dead individuals I have ever heard speak, that was previously sent to prison for robbery. He gets out, and gets voted in. People like this, including Hussein, make their rise because of their skin color, their ability to lie directly to the electorate, and the utter stupidity of their electorate who do not pay attention or care what the man does once in office. In Chicago, it doesn’t matter what the guy does, as long as the brotha gets elected.

August 21st, 2008 at 12:57 pmWhen I first read Obama’s “Dreams From My Father,” I’d never heard of him. It was an unusually compelling read, and extremely well-written. As a free lance writer, I can tell you how difficult this is. I assumed–as I would have no matter his ethnic background–that Obama had used a very high quality ghost writer because he didn’t have an English major or a journalistic background.
After watching him on TV when teleprompters are not used, I’m convinced that an unnamed ghost writer assisted with Obama’s memoirs, similar to Hillary Clinton’s “It Takes a Village.” He’s much more confortable using hip terminology than the language in his book.
I think a ghost writer also suggested turning real life people into “composite” (fake) characters. A novice wouldn’t have had the ability to do that let alone think of it.
