My 910th Airlift Wing Deployed To Iraq

This is my local Air Force Reserve Base …
I love when these guys fly overhead so low and loud. Folks stop what they’re doing and look up in the sky to watch the 3-4 heavy planes drone overhead in line for landing or climbing into the sky. Kids stop football practice on the field … Little kids jump up and down in excitement and point high above their heads … Everyone raises a hand and waves as they pass.
My beloved cousin David, before he passed unexpectedly a couple years ago, was stationed with them as a Tech Sgt. He LOVED being deployed. Somehow I think he’s gone with them this trip …
God Speed, 910th … Come home safe.

910th deployed to Iraq
Thirteen members of the 910 Airlift Wing’s Security Forces Squadron left Saturday for a six-month tour of duty in Iraq to serve in several security-related duties at Kirkuk Air Base.
They are the last group of a total of 44 security forces members deploying to Iraq for this tour of duty. They recently returned from two weeks of specialized training, called Patriot Defender, at Camp Gruber, Okla.
The 910th has its headquarters at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station in Vienna.
