Get the feeling we’re watching some kind of 80’s slasher flick, where the evil, seemingly undead murderer keeps getting back up off the floor after being stabbed in the neck with a knitting needle, or stabbed through the chest with a butcher’s knife?

…I get that feeling with this Democratic National Convention stuff.
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton told a gathering of supporters last week that she’s looking for a “strategy” for her delegates to have their voices heard and “respected” at the Democratic National Convention — and did not rule out the possibility of having her name placed into nomination at the convention alongside Sen. Barack Obama’s.
“I happen to believe that we will come out stronger if people feel that their voices were heard and their views were respected. I think that is a very big part of how we actually come out unified,” Clinton, D-N.Y., said at a California fundraiser last Thursday, in a video clip captured by an attendee and posted on YouTube.
“Because I know from, just what I’m hearing, that there’s incredible pent up desire. And I think that people want to feel like, ‘OK, it’s a catharsis, we’re here, we did it, and then everybody get behind Sen. Obama.’ That is what most people believe is the best way to go,” she added.
“No decisions have been made. And so we are trying to work all this through with the DNC and with the Obama campaign.”
Clinton’s comments shed some light on a fierce behind-the-scenes squabble between the Clinton and Obama camps over how to recognize Clinton and her achievements in the primaries without overshadowing or detracting from a convention that (presumptively) belongs to Obama.

evidence as possible to allege that Obama faked (photoshopped) the
“certificate of live birth” that his campaign posted on the web.
I’ll summarize their theory:
Obama’s original Hawaiian birth record would have been officially
sealed when he was adopted by an Indonesian father, and he was given
the new identity of Barry Soetoro Ma, as well as Indonesian
citizenship. If the Hawaiian records office new issues a birth
certificate it would be in that name (Barry Soetoro Ma.)
When issues regarding his eligibility for the Presidency began to
come up, his campaign posted an internet version of a birth
certificate that is apparently a photoshopped version of someone else’s.
If true, this would be a felony to conspire to defraud across
state lines.
There is also the claim that Barry still possesses dual citizenship,
having never renounced his Indonesian citizenship. For the same
reason that the Constitution prohibits foreign born people for
running for President (namely having divided loyalties) the
Constitutional argument could be made that holders of dual citizenship are prohibited.
Is any of this true?
I think it’s believable though fierce pixel wars have broken out
between one expert and another. What is interesting is that
Obama won’t produce the official paper, just like John Kerry
wouldn’t release his military records. Some say why should he
but others say he can’t.

The Democrats have sort of boxed themselves into a corner, haven’t they? They have all but nominated as their candidate for president someone who is looking more and more every day like an inexperienced prima donna who can’t win. But if somehow Obama were to lose the nomination later this month, after all this, the Democrats would be labelled by many within their own ranks as racist and lose all the harcore Obama supporters. Methinks they are going to lose in November, no matter what. And that makes me breathe a little easier.
