    UPDATE ON THE REVIEW: As far as my review, no one associated with the film has ever told me I couldn’t run one. Not at the screening, not since. I’m the one being careful. I’m not a journalist, don’t pretend to be, and have no intention of doing anything — even to be first — that will upend their gameplan.

    I can tell you as someone whose own film is currently in the hands of a savvy sales agent that releasing a film is a very delicate and tricky thing. Even a positive review risks giving away something damaging — something that could give the other side ammo — and I won’t take that risk.

    I’m a partisan. The Cause comes first. My review will be honest, but not released until the nod’s given. My admiration and respect for what Zucker and Steve McEveety are doing trumps all other considerations. I don’t know the men. They’re not even acquaintances. But we share a tank.
