NFL Star Brett Favre Traded To NY Jets
I wanted to see him go to Chicago - HA!

I see the Pack as an 8-8 team or slightly better in 2008. Depends on how fast Rodgers gets knocked out for the season. Then, the Packers GM will be hunted down and beaten half to death by the people in NE Wisconsin.
August 7th, 2008 at 6:31 amAs a life-long resident of Green Bay, all I can say is that all parties involved in this fiasco have been acting like 12-year-old school boys.
- Favre can’t make a decision and then stick to it
- Ted Thompson can’t treat him like the future hall of fame member that he is
- Mike McCarthy can’t convince him to do what he decided he wanted to do - play quarterback for the Packers
As far as Aaron Rodgers goes, we’ll just have to see. It will be, as was said before, 8-8 at best.
We all survived the 80’s (can you say Forrest Greg? I knew that you could!). We can get through this as well.

August 7th, 2008 at 6:36 amI am a Packer fan for the past 41 years. I remain a Packer fan. I lay the blame for this fiasco at the feet of Favre. He was whining like a little spoiled brat, not a professional, HOF QB. TT and the front office had no choice but to let him go, for the sake of the team. Favre is lucky Vince was not the coach. Vince would have ended this situation in less than 10 seconds. Remember Jim Ringo??? No one is more important than the team. NO ONE!!! When I heard that Favre never acted as a mentor for his potential successors, that was the last straw. Bye bye Brett. Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out of Titletown.

August 7th, 2008 at 9:49 amyes 007 every day since marino has gone, has been a bad day for me and the dolphins. Misery loves company though.
August 7th, 2008 at 10:18 am45 Year Packer fan. I used to tricker-treat as Bart Starr.
August 7th, 2008 at 12:32 pmLoved watching Brett play and bring us a super bowl. But no man is bigger than the team. In the end it was Brett that did not want to play in Title Town. He has ruined his legacy
in my mind. I will never feel the same about him. He has put his own selfish interests and petty feelings in front of his team mates and fans. I wish Ray Nitschke could have had a little talk with him. Oh Yeah—the Jets have no
offensive line. Good Luck Brett you are going to need it.
Huge Packer fan and lived in area (Appleton) during Favre’s glory years (95-97). My kids idolized him. But now, I agree with Steady and Maynard…. Favre’s an egotistical prima donna. Plus, you know what? He lost more big games in postseason than he won. Glad to see the Packers put out the message: TEAM FIRST… I foresee his NYJ left guard letting a few defensive linemen in a bit too quick this year…oops I hate when that happens…. what a way to blow a legacy of being a good guy.
