SEARCY, Ark. - Police are exploring possible links between the Arkansas Democratic Party chairman who was gunned down in his office yesterday and his killer.

The victim, Bill Gwatney, was fatally shot by Timothy Dale Johnson, who was then killed by officers after a 30-minute chase.

Authorities say a search of the dead gunman’s home turned up 14 guns, antidepressants, his last will and testament and a Post-It note that bore his victim’s last name and a telephone number.

Gwatney owned three Little Rock area car dealerships and the search of Johnson’s home turned up two sets of keys for vehicles from Gwatney car lots.

In Little Rock, wreaths and flowers line the sidewalk in front of the state Democratic Party headquarters in memory of Gwatney.

I found a link, too. It was the bullets that LINKED from the barrel of the gun to the body! Ha! Get it?

Seriously, I am sure there was a link. Most victims know their killer in a case like this. Should be obvious there is something odd going on.

Anyone else feel that Johnson was trying to commit suicide by cops?Taking out a prominent politician, walking up to a guard holding a gun and then not shooting because the guard was unarmed, high speed chase ending in Johnson shooting at the police.Regardless of what links the police may find here is the motive.

Good news for me…he didn’t kill the chef at Applebee’s ’cause we’re going out for all you can eat riblets tonight.

Hey I know there’s no connection but I love those riblets–especially with a couple Fat Tire Beers.
