WCBS: An 85-year-old woman was viciously attacked inside an elevator by a mugger, who was caught on camera assaulting the victim before running off with her purse and her cane.

    What a loser. Anyone who would attack a helpless old woman and even take her cane away from her deserves at least 50 whacks with a bamboo cane on the butt like they do in Malaysia. After that, make him pay restitution and stand in a busy street for a week with a sign saying, “I mugged an old woman for her purse and cane.”

    I think they need to bring back corporeal punishment for just such people as this.
