Although the quote was (supposedly) made in jest during a sound check and was never intended for broadcast (Come on people, we’re talking about The Great Orator here… Probably one of the finest real world chess players of our century), it was none the less released by the U.S. MSM and it set both nations on edge with the psychological prospects of a possible Nuclear war…
With Soviet ears to the ground, Reagan was able to dissolve the Soviet Union without a shot fired… This one little joke remains one of the most powerful forces ever known to mankind, it is the power of a man with the heart to preserve lives expressing his ability to take lives… In retrospect it was no fucking Joke at all!
I was once told by a Pastor of mine that “The definition of humility is NOT: Being willing to take shit from just anyone, but that true humility IS: not kicking their ass when you know that you have that ability… and if they don’t come around? Well… Follow your heart”!
