Self Defense Dorks
This is a joke, right?

These are actual self-defense moves and counters, but the video is kinda dopey.
I think the two guys are trying to break things down to what ordinary people can do, rather than the trained fighter’s “squareoff”.
I’ll guaran-damn-tee you, that in a real fight, the average joe isn’t going to give a rats ass about your “form” or fighting stance.

August 8th, 2008 at 10:26 amAll looked ok to me.
August 8th, 2008 at 10:39 amI laughed out loud with the “bbbllllaaaaaaa” sound the one guy made, thinking about again makes me laugh.
I bounced in different establishments for 5 years in college and I think the biggest thing to winning a fight is presence of mind and not being fearful and intimidated. A lot of people have a glass jaw, one good sweeping cross to the corner of the chin and its lights out. I have seen a lot of one punch fights.
August 8th, 2008 at 12:42 pmI have used some of those techniques.
August 8th, 2008 at 4:59 pmMost of the time you dont have enough time(most attackers give no warning) or the right angle to use them (the person is not exactly in front of you).
If your technique fails, run.
If you’re going to thrust your hand into somebody’s throat, why curl your fingers and do all that poking crap? Just ball up your fist, no - thumb on the outside of the fist - there ya go, and punch in him in the throat. The ballerina attack on the shin is what got me though, seriously - you want me to point me toes and push down on his shin?
