What is striking about this are the things the Beeb DIDN´T touch on. They love Him in Europe…..until a couple of weeks ago. I´ve noticed more and more, from my european friends, a ¨nervousness¨ with the past events in Georgia. I think that now, they might want a stronger US after all. I been telling them ¨somebody´s going to be Tall Dog and it better be a friend who is Tall Dog!¨ How many Russian ¨good dogs¨ have we seen lately?

August 21st, 2008 at 4:12 amThey just couldn’t avoid that dig about race at the end. The kicker is that his ‘04 speech, platitudes though it may be, has a fair degree of truth. Nowhere else in the world would it be possible for him to do what he’s doing. In fact, I remember reading an article about discussions on race in Europe while he was visiting Germany and how, though viewing themselves as more racially progressive, have a conspicuous absence of non-whites in senior positions of government. Of course, we don’t really help with their impression of us, while we chase after the boogeyman of racism and continue to pick at the scabs of old wounds, keeping them from healing.

I’ve talked to many black people where I’m working right now, and learned something pretty damn unsettling about racism in the black community.

Did you learn that as a culture the black community gets a matyr’d identity from being the victim? And that they believe it is the white man that is there victimizer? And therefore they hate him? That only supposed boundaries that they encounter arent the ones they impose on themselves, but contrived by the “man trying to keep them down”. That they consider the poor white to be “lazy” but the poor black are saints? That living on welfare is actually a proud thing to do …cause you’re sticking it to the man? That any black that does exhibit any motivation to change thier class structure is a good only up til they attain thier goals… then they are labeled sell outs?
As a culture (not race) they are fubar’d beyond all recognition. And they are way more racist than the white culture in comparison. But then again .. they would consider me a racist for my remarks.

I couldn’t finish that without laughing. That’s the mindset of the typical black motherfucker on welfare. Reality is, they’re too damn lazy to get up and get a fuckin’ job. Living here in Illinois (near the East St. Louis area, no less), I see case after case of it. Some of them even wear the stupid little obama shirts.

Did you read Michelle Obama’s thesis from Princeton? The Introduction is very revealing. She comes across as thinking she’s selling out to the black community by attending a prestigous college.
Michelle was very surprised to discover that, during her senior year, she found herself embracing what she called the “conservative” values of her classmates. Values like furthering her education and getting a high-paying job with a large company.
She also said that she came to the conclusion that her white friends would always see her as black first and a student second. She gave no anecdotes to back this up; it was as if she was the one who couldn’t see past the color of people’s skin.
The thesis is published online. Writer Christopher Hutchins briefly critiqued it, and I agree with his comments which I won’t quote here.

August 23rd, 2008 at 1:53 amObama sewer? If that is a sewer then all politicians survive in them. There wasn’t much in this report that would live up to the title you gave it. How is Obama different than any other politician that has risen to the top? The good ones survive by reading a little Machiavelli but project something entirely different. McCain for example has become a chameleon, representing things he would never do as a Senator. He has attempted, with some success, to make himself palatable to conservatives. Thus is politics.
