U.S. Says Major Powers Will Discuss Iran Wednesday: Pending Strike?
Is this dooms day for Iran??
WASHINGTON, Aug. 5, 2008 (Reuters) — Senior officials from major powers will hold a conference call on Wednesday to discuss Iran’s response to an offer to give up sensitive nuclear work in exchange for incentives, the U.S. State Department said on Tuesday.
“If we don’t receive a clear message from them (Iran), we will have no choice but to pursue additional measures. The P5+1 political directors have scheduled a conference call for tomorrow,” said State Department spokesman Gonzalo Gallegos, referring to senior officials from the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council and Germany, which handle Iran’s nuclear dossier.
