I recommend reading Jonah Golberg’s “Liberal Fascism.” The National Review’s Jonah Goldberg correctly puts Hitler’s German National Socialism and Mussolini’s Italian Fascism on the LEFT side of the political spectrum. The political opposite is classical liberal (i.e., contemprary conservative) politics coupled with a traditional view of morals and society informed by the tragic ancient view of man. So, when you see Obama-mania that seems to invoke Nazi and/or Communist ritual, there is a good reason.
