Google’s First Phone “Android G1″ Slated For October Release

September 24th, 2008 Posted By Bash.

The first cell phone running Google Inc.’s mobile software looks something like Apple Inc.’s iPhone and has a large touch screen, but it also packs a trackball, a slide-out keyboard and easy access to Google’s e-mail and mapping programs.

Can I just have a phone, no camera, no laser beams nothing, just a phone built with quality?

Yeah, I will be getting this though - my current phone sucks!

What I regret is not getting a Zarus(?) pda when they were available. Nice 500MHz strongARM pda running Linux. Lots of possibilities.

Still using my Palm m505. Wouldn’t mind developing some apps for it this winter, if/when I have some time to kill.
