On military service, which was touted by McCain at his convention and which Obama lacks: “I always thought the military was a noble.., option… When I came of age in 1979, the Vietnam war already had come to an end. We weren’t engaged in an active military conflict at that point. And so, it’s not an option that I ever decided to pursue.â€ÂÂ
