Idiotic Quote Of The Day: Ahmahdinejad’s Opening UN Remarks – With Video
Tweet

“Oh, God, hasten the arrival of Imam al-Mahdi, and grant him good health and victory. And make us his followers, and those who attest to his rightfulness.”
-Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, addressing the UN General Assembly today.
Quick lesson on this statement:
The imam al-Mahdi supposedly has been in occultation (not dead, just waiting) at the bottom of a well behind the Jamkaran mosque in Qom, Iran for about 1200 years or so. He was 5 years old when he stepped up at his father’s funeral (the 11th imam of twelver shia religious beliefs), pushed his uncle aside and said “Move aside, uncle; only an Imam can lead the funeral prayer of an Imam.” Then he disappeared and is waiting to return to conquer the Earth and rule and reign over the entire world with the Sword of Allah alongside Jesus Christ for 1000 years.
That’s why he said “grant him good health” because this guy believes the kid is hanging out waiting.
He used the word “hasten” and this is what the entire world that may be ignorant of Twelver Shia beliefs needs to understand about the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ahmadinejad, the Ayatollah, and all Twelver Shia radicals like them. They believe that the Imam al-Mahdi will come up out of the well when chaotic violence and war has broken out in the Middle East. Unlike Christian end-time beliefs, however, Twelver Shia believe that they can “hasten” or bring about through their own works, the conditions to set the stage for the imam al-Mahdi’s return.
In other words, they want to start a nuclear war in the region, this is certain to cause “chaotic violence and war” and then, the Iranian theocrats believe al-Mahdi will come.
He said the same thing at the end of his speech, and he kept saying with certainty, that the time would be soon.
To refuse to acknowledge that the leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran actually believes these things to be true, is certain doom for any nation.
These guys want war because they believe it’ll usher in the Good Times.
Terror analyst Mike Evans nailed it pretty good here:
