Piper Palin Spit-Polishes Baby Brother Trig’s “Do” - Edit
THIS has to be the single MOST statement about who this woman, Sarah Palin is … and how she is NOT some of “the same old same old” … God bless them. They, SHE, IS one of us … one of the regular people.

***EDIT -
I do my best thinking in the hot shower … and this came to mind as I reflected on what I had seen in the video.
THAT little girl’s action spoke volumes to the kind of mother Sarah Palin is, and the kind of family and parenting that has been built in that home.
How many of us had our mother spit on a tissue and clean our face?
That little ‘grooming’ technique is a learned [practice]. Typically learned from moms, but I wouldn’t put it past Daddy Todd Palin to have passed that little rustic quick-fix onto the little princess (she WAS wearing a tiara in Dayton …).
It also shows the love, care and devotion for this special child by even the youngest Palin sibling. BTW, do you notice how Bristol, who carried baby Trig in Dayton the day of Palin’s announcement to the Veep pick, has NOT been seen in public holding or carrying the baby? She even seems to be ‘placed’ two or three bodies apart from him whenever the family appears together. How it must be killing her, this loving and attentive big sister, to distance herself from her beloved baby brother in the public eye for fear of giving the media and the disgusting blogs fodder for their bile. My two oldest daughters were second mommies to my Lizzie Rose. To this day, even with her own two children, my oldest will pamper and primp and spoil her littlest sister. And Katie, when she is able to come home from college, seeks out her baby sister and pampers her and plays with her and watches TV with her when not driving her for a Happy Meal or a treat from Dairy Queen … Neither sister gets out of Walmart or Kmart without spoiling Lizzie with yet one more damn Barbie (and believe me, we have enough Barbies to populate a small Alaskan town) …
There is some embedded measure of primal motherly instinct passed on through the DNA soup.
However, you can tell when children have learned from example … from experience. Love and compassion, and devotion are learned traits. They are passed on to the next generation …
What you see in the video is proof that this woman, and her husband to be fair, has successfully balanced motherhood and ‘governing’ … thank you very much.
I don’t know about you, but THAT is the kind of “one of us” people I want to trust my country with.
