Which is BULLSHIT. Foreign dignitary’s would often stay at this particular hotel due to its high security.

Islamabad, Sept 21, IRNA: An American diplomat was killed in the huge suicide truck bomb attack on Islamabad’s Marriot Hotel, which also killed up-to 40 people, hospital sources said.

According to hospital sources injured foreigners included three Americans, four Germans, British, Saudis, Danish, Swedish and Libyans.

Saudi ambassador said that 6 members of Saudi Airlines have been missing since the suicide attack at the Hotel Marriot.

He confirmed that four Saudi nationals were injured who were taken to a private medical facility for treatment.

It is learnt that soldiers from a Western country were at the hotel when the attack was carried out.

Gilani said the death toll had reached “about 53″ and that the Czech ambassador, Ivo Zdarek, was among the dead. Zdarek, 47, moved to Islamabad in August after four years as ambassador to Vietnam.

An armed soldier from was a western country was seen roaming outside the Marriot Hotel after the attack.

The government formed a committee to investigate the attack in the highly security zone, the advisor of the Interior Ministry said.

Police said that 1,000 kg were used for the explosion, heard in the whole of Islamabad.

The Marriot Hotel was completely gutted and the police feared it may collapse.

An employee of the hotel Sultan said that around 90 foreigners were staying at the 315-room hotel at the time of the blast.
