Once again, Joe Biden drunk on the campaign trail. How many times have I said on the radio show that I was perplexed ot Hussein’s choice because this guy was like the crazy uncle kept hidden in the attic?

Sure enough, after posting the above, I come across the following two statements in today’s NYT:

“The Obama campaign was hoping to reintroduce Mr. Biden this week as running mate attack dog. But his penchant for verbal rambling ensured that much of the attention he drew was unwanted…”

“Joe has also become a fascinating Off Broadway spectacle in his own right. He is a distinctive blend of pit bull and odd duck whose weak filters make him capable of blurting out pretty much anything — “gaffes,” out-of-nowhere comments (pivoting midspeech to say “Excuse my back!” to people seated behind him), goofy asides (tapping a reporter’s chest and telling him, “You need to work on your pecs.”)

VIENNA, Austria — Austrian authorities say a small earthquake set off a large World War II-era bomb in the garden of a Vienna home. It lay buried for decades in the garden, and no one knew it was there. No one was injured in the explosion.

Investigators think the bomb weighed up to half a ton.

For the record, I’ve been closely following each Presidential campaign for 34 years. This assault on Sarah Palin, mostly by the media and the opposing Party’s officials, but also by individuals, is absolutely and positively unprecedented. It’s just completely breathtaking. And if the excuse is that it’s not partisanship, that this relentless reportage and the frenzied, tireless, manic digging, digging, digging into every last crook and nanny (that was on purpose, why, I don’t know), the scratching until you actually get through every possible surface, is that she has such a relatively unknown background for a contender of such a serious position, then why didn’t we see the same with Hussein? Where is there even 1/100 of the same reportage and digging on Rezko, et al?
