Late start over in this neck of the woods. Is everybody crazy? I think so. I’ve yet to be disappointed by anyone, no matter how rarely it rears. All of a sudden, whammo…and often, it’s messy…..don’t keep the bigger mess making crazies around, I always say. And then, I often don’t follow through. Cos they’re hot. That doesn’t ever happen to any of y’all, I know.

Oh yeah, the economy sucks. Almost as bad as certain people in certain high places . That would actually be almost all people in high places.
What are you gonna do? We’re a rough lot. You think my or “Deadwood”’s view of human nature is dark? Read some of the Bible. Now those people are fucked up. The people in the stories. You don’t have to believe in God to read the Bible and get a good view of human nature; it’s a real wake-up call. I don’t think I’ve read a much more unsparing, frank, brutal, honest, fearless and thorough an examination of the ills of mankind’s soul, the workings of our minds and passions, the hows and whys of their propensity towards perversions. The stuff in that Book is so heavy, it makes it clear that atheists were way off base when they started using the term “Fairy Tale” to deride it. They may have been invoking a pointed and easily recognizable analogy, but they were way off base in terms of adequately addressing the intellectual, psychological, historical and anthropological heft of it. And I’ll leave it at that, avoiding, at least for the moment, an argument about God and spirituality. Or one about the left’s certainty that the intellect alone can be called upon to fix people - which would actually be to change human nature itself - since human nature, perverted, pathological or left unfettered, is most often the cause of man’s conflicts and ills. Trust me: Dr. Phil is not going to change human nature itself, along with the attendant changes that would likely be required in our genetic code, by flapping his overpriced jaws at weepy people in a television studio.
