Carter Was Up By 6% Over Reagan At This Point In 1980

The day before the New Hampshire primary, Obama had a 10% lead over Hillary.

She won.

Do not be discouraged by the polls out there, nor be encouraged by them either, because they simply don’t reflect the truth.

As the headline reads, the fact is that three weeks out from the 1980 election, Jimmy Carter was out in front of Ronald Reagan by 6%.

I just have this feeling that many of the pollsters are in the tank for Obama and therefore skew their numbers in an attempt to sway that small percentage of people–but even 1% in this election will be huge–that look at a poll and say “Oh hell, we can’t win,” and give up the vote.

On the contrary, the polls could also sway those lazy-ass welfare voters who are pulling for Obama and when they see that he has such a lead they say, “Hell, he’s got it in the bag, I don’t need to go all the way across the street to vote, I’ll just sit here and sip my Mad Dog 20/20. By the way, where’s them ACORN people that promised me that crack?”

Aware of this block of voters, Obama pulled a smart move today by telling Democrats that they have a history of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, and to never underestimate the Democrats ability to completely everything up at the last minute.

So, the polls could work both ways. There is only one sure way we can win this thing.

Make sure you vote McCain, and that you convince everyone else you know to vote McCain as well.
