Comic Relief: McCain & Obama At Alfred E. Smith Dinner - With Video
The annual Alfred E. Smith dinner, you know the one, one of the more recent, most famous lines, was George Bush saying “Some call you the Elite, I call you my base.”
It is a night where, during a Presidential election year, the candidates have somebody write them some good lines. McCain actually cracked me up, digging at the Clintons, Olbermann, Matthews, MSNBC, and Obama, too.
I have put both of their speeches/comedy routines up, just because.
Maybe somewhere inside me is a hope for the days when people could vehemently disagree on their politics, but sit down and have a steak together…
…yeah right, never happened.
