I want yunz guys to give me a brief comment on how YOU feel American baseball is a metaphor for America itself. Because I feel/believe it really is in every aspect. Baseball is the perfect reflection of how the American dream works at its very foundations. All parts of the whole coming together, doing their jobs, giving their all, and reaping the final benefits of success. Moments of ‘sacrifice’ to help advance the other guy closer to success. Hustling your ass to be the best at your job. Focusing on the home run zone beyond the bleachers. Playing with your heart and soul, but NEVER losing sight of how your mind MUST stay in the game or you’re lost. Playing by the rules, and expecting others to do the same.

A team, everyone with their particular talent and position in society, playing to the best of their ability … giving their all to make the whole successful … NOT asleep in the outfield when that fly ball comes sailing out at you. Sucking it up and charging headfirst into that extra base, even if the odds are against you. Swinging away and slamming it out of the park to clear the bases so the whole team can see and the fruits of their labor through the whole game.
