The MSM … They No Likey McCain Supporter ‘Enthusiasm’

Ah! Here we go. Down to the wire. Two parties … Two candidates … Two bases and sundry support groups.

One has had over a year, with the help of the MSM, to do/say pretty much what its wanted to … Why, just ask Sen. Hillary Clinton who got out-played at her own political dirty game.

And then there is the mostly quiet gentleman … the non-boastful, but reflective war hero who has momentary flashes of temper … and his political Joan of Arc who holds the promise of charging the war hero’s campaign straight for the White House. She has inspired a massive group of frustrated, discouraged, and disheartened people to stand up and give a damn.

But NOT just about the presidential race, but about the media injustice, journalistic malpractice, and political thuggery from “That One’s” campaign.

So while we have endured months and months of Messianic adoration and worship from massive crowds and the breathless and leg-tingling MSM … we held back our stomachs at the nauseating “this is historical” bullshit, screamed our heads off when the MSM claimed McCain hadn’t vetted Palin properly before choosing her … when ALL the while the MSM didn’t vet their Marxist democrat candidate for the public … and have continually covered his ass for him.

And now, a few overzealous pissed-off rally attendees for McPalin shout out (what you MIGHT hear shouted en mass at a Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns football game) a few less than friendly blessings for the democrat opponent … and McPalin supporters are inciting the nation into race riots, civil war, and total anarchy. Why, they may just let go of their Bibles long enough to drag up their knuckles from the floor and aim their … well, never mind … You get where I’m going.

Question, if I suddenly sneeze right now, and you answer with the German form of “Bless you” … would that cause such panic-stricken media-types who are gasping at McPalin rally goers to turn and then accuse you of being Nazis to McCain/Palin’s Hitler?

A bit of that peppered sage over at the failing NYTimes … just a bit (you can click the link if you insist on sniffing farts), as I really don’t wish to waste yours or my eye strain on such drool-bucket fodder … writer’s name is Damn Rich … umm, no, I think it’s Frank Poor … I dunno … some such:

[ ... ] What makes them different, and what has pumped up the Weimar-like rage at McCain-Palin rallies, is the violent escalation in rhetoric, especially (though not exclusively) by Palin. Obama “launched his political career in the living room of a domestic terrorist.” He is “palling around with terrorists” (note the plural noun). Obama is “not a man who sees America the way you and I see America.” Wielding a wildly out-of-context Obama quote, Palin slurs him as an enemy of American troops.

By the time McCain asks the crowd “Who is the real Barack Obama?” it’s no surprise that someone cries out “Terrorist!” The rhetorical conflation of Obama with terrorism is complete. It is stoked further by the repeated invocation of Obama’s middle name by surrogates introducing McCain and Palin at these rallies. This sleight of hand at once synchronizes with the poisonous Obama-is-a-Muslim e-mail blasts and shifts the brand of terrorism from Ayers’s Vietnam-era variety to the radical Islamic threats of today.

That’s a far cry from simply accusing Obama of being a guilty-by-association radical leftist. Obama is being branded as a potential killer and an accessory to past attempts at murder. “Barack Obama’s friend tried to kill my family” was how a McCain press release last week packaged the remembrance of a Weather Underground incident from 1970 — when Obama was 8.

We all know what punishment fits the crime of murder, or even potential murder, if the security of post-9/11 America is at stake. We all know how self-appointed “patriotic” martyrs always justify taking the law into their own hands.

Obama can hardly be held accountable for Ayers’s behavior 40 years ago, but at least McCain and Palin can try to take some responsibility for the behavior of their own supporters in 2008. What’s troubling here is not only the candidates’ loose inflammatory talk but also their refusal to step in promptly and strongly when someone responds to it with bloodthirsty threats in a crowded arena. Joe Biden had it exactly right when he expressed concern last week that “a leading American politician who might be vice president of the United States would not just stop midsentence and turn and condemn that.” To stay silent is to pour gas on the fires. Glenn Reynolds of Instapundit notes:

NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE? So we’ve had nearly 8 years of lefty assassination fantasies about George W. Bush, and Bill Ayers’ bombing campaign is explained away as a consequence of him having just felt so strongly about social justice, but a few people yell things at McCain rallies and suddenly it’s a sign that anger is out of control in American politics? It’s nice of McCain to try to tamp that down … but, please, can we also note the staggering level of hypocrisy here?

…

The Angry Left has gotten away with all sorts of beyond-the-pale behavior throughout the Bush Administration. The double standards involved — particularly on the part of the press — are what are feeding this anger …. So while asking for McCain supporters to chill a bit, can we also ask the press to start doing its job rather than openly shilling for a Democratic victory? Self-control is for everybody, if it’s for anybody ….

Cripes, Glenn! Do you REALLY expect them to put down their Appletini glasses and go to work before November? … I mean REALLY, Darling!

So, while I don’t condone anyone shouting “Off with his head” (especially since a certain `nother group of MSM sweethearts have a patent on that phrase in public gatherings) or “Kill him” … “Traitor” and “terrorist”, I got no problems with.

After all, it’s not like they are shouting Communist/Marxist names … I mean, THAT would be a bit … over the top.

Ya know?

Meanwhile, I hope the lady Governor in her ‘fuck-you’ stilettos and the war hero continue to kick ass at rallies because I believe the excitement you see there amid the massive crowds is the same you’ll see on that first Tuesday in November … and the MSM just can’t stand that shot of B-12 called Sarah Palin … nor can they stand her average American frankness and intolerance for their masturbating bullshit.
