In 1976, the FBI’s Chicago Field Office prepared a summary which described the activities of the Weather Underground Organization, also known as Weathermen. This organization described itself as a revolutionary organization of communist men and women. The FBI’s analysis of its motivations, beliefs, and international travels are outlined in this summary.

OCTOBER 1969: DAYS OF RAGE

In October 1969 A Faction Of The Students For A Democratic Society Called The Weathermen Organized The “Days Of Rage” In Chicago. “In October 1969, the Weathermen, a faction of the Students for a Democratic Society, created the previous year, led ‘four days of rage’ in Chicago. Declaring that the tide of ‘revolution’ was rising, they led battles with the police and widespread window smashing in the city’s central business district.” (Josh Barbanel, “Bernardine Dohrn Reportedly Seen On West Side,” The New York Times, 11/27/80)

Policemen And Demonstrators Were Injured During The “Days Of Rage.” “There the demonstrators charged through police lines and engaged in a rock-throwing and window-smashing battle in which scores of policemen and demonstrators were injured. Miss. Dohrn was arrested in that encounter. The “Days Of Rage” Rioters Wore The Vietnamese Flag On Their Backs And Smashed Homes And Store Windows. “On Oct. 8, 1969, the first day of what Weatherman had billed as its ‘Days of Rage,’ a group of about 300 antiwar demonstrators, wearing helmets and dungaree jackets with the Vietcong flag sewn on the back and carrying clubs, charged from a bonfire in Lincoln Park into a neighboring area, smashing the windows of stores, homes and automobiles.” (Nathaniel Sheppard, “2 In Weather Underground Are Bargaining To Surrender,” The New York Times, 11/24/80)

After The Leaders Of The Weathermen Went Into Hiding, They Changed Their Name To The Weather Underground. “The police charged that one of the leaders of the ‘days of rage’ was Miss. Dohrn. After the riots in Chicago Miss. Dohrn went underground with the rest of the leadership of the Weathermen. Damage control is in full operation as the Obama campaign is doing its best to deflect any accusations of a concrete relationship between Senator Obama and William Ayers the former domestic terrorist and co-founder of the radical Weather Underground group during the ’60s. In an attempt to prevent a general dismissal of the relationship as nothing more than the “crossing of paths” between two educators and community activist, a more pointed question is being asked, When did Obama learn of Ayer’s History?

Barack Obama’s campaign on Thursday tried to fend off a withering attack from his opponents surrounding the Democratic candidate’s relationship with former domestic terrorist William Ayers, co-founder of the radical Weather Underground group in the turbulent Sixties.

But there are still questions over when Obama truly learned about Ayers’ radical background.

Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor told FOXNews.com that the Democratic presidential candidate was unaware of Ayers’ past when Ayers hosted a political event for Obama in 1995, when he was an Illinois state senator.

Vietor said it was a small, meet-the-candidate event — an assertion Obama and his advisers have consistently made throughout the course of his presidential campaign.

But Vietor said that he did not know when Obama learned of Ayers’ connection to the Weather Underground, which claimed responsibility for bombings at the Pentagon, the U.S. Capitol and a New York Supreme Court justice’s home in New York City.

A victim of William Ayer’s terrorist activity blast Senator Obama and said that the Senator should have known better than to associate with William Ayers a violent terrorist.

“Barack Obama constantly says, ‘I was only 8 years old when this happened.’ That’s kind of his throwaway line,” John Murtagh told FOX News Thursday morning.

“I’m not questioning what Barack Obama was doing when he was 8 years old. I’m questioning his behavior as an adult to choose his friends, mentor and longtime personal and professional colleague.”

Murtagh discussed the 1970 bombing as John McCain’s campaign put renewed focus on Obama’s ties to Ayers, who lives in Chicago and is an education professor at the University of Illinois.

“The Weather Underground launched an attack on our family home … looking to kill us,” Murtagh told FOX News. “I believe if the senator were to come clean and tell us the full story, we’d find out this relationship well predates the fundraiser held in the Ayers home. It goes back to the ’80s.”

Keep something in mind; Senator Obama would have a problem passing a polygraph test for a government Top Secret clearance. As part of the test a series of question are asked and one of them is, Have you ever knowingly associated yourself with any terrorist organizations or had contact with any person or group who participated in activities to overthrow the U.S. government by violent means?

And he wants to be President of the United States of America?
