8:25 A.M.

Afghanistan. It’s “intense” over there. Which as you can already tell, is a euphemism for a tough fight, a bloody, nasty ugly fight. I’ve spoken to some Marines. 2/7 Marines just returned. Michael Yon, here on “The Jihadi Killer Hour” told us the war in Afghanistan would be worse than Iraq “ever was” in the year ahead. 2./7 had over 30 Marines killed, over 170 wounded. And just like in Iraq, wherever the fight was real, there were little or no reporters. I did a 4 month stretch in Ramadi, Al Qaeda’s capital and just about the most important place to be at the time. Other than a couple of drive-bys, I was the only reporter there. And I was a Hollywood talent agent, who was only a reporter by self-designation. Be careful for what you take as good or accurate from there, especially as it now the most important front of the ground war, a ground edging ever closer to Islamic evil’s mothership, Pakistan.

There’s a tremendous fight, the likes of which we haven’t seen ( an astounding fact, considering what we’ve just gone through for several years in Iraq ), on many fronts, my fellow Americans, so brace, steel and prepare yourselves. Tired? Get over it, or die.

Is Obama formulating his foreign policy from a book? A book written by a Muslim from India who believes the U.S. is past its prime and in demise?

It looks like Obama either read Newsweek or the book as he proffers this:

“Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, these countries are tiny compared to the Soviet Union. They don’t pose a serious threat to us the way the Soviet Union posed a threat to us…Iran, they spend 1/100th of what we spend on the military. If Iran ever tried to pose a serious threat to us, they wouldn’t stand a chance.”

Is Obama formulating his foreign policy from a book? A book written by a Muslim from India who believes the U.S. is past its prime and in demise? It sure seems that way. Maybe that is the section he so diligently saved while walking on the tarmac, which appears to be one of the first chapters, possibly Chapter 3 entitled “A Non-Western World?”. FYI - Obama mentioned on page 255.
