Yeah, it’s a stupid fuckin’ picture, completly mean-spirited in nature, petty, bitter, angry, vengeful, hateful, all kinds of stuff, arguably. To others, just a lighthearted laugh. Me? I saw it floating around the net over a week ago, and found it rank enough to not even consider putting it up. Then it sort of smacked me in the memory yesterday, when the New York Times pulled this equally mean-spirited in nature, petty, bitter, angry, vengeful, hateful stunt on President Bush and his dignity, just two days after CNN had done the same thing. And this shit’s been going down for 8 years. So here’s my proposal. If someone can satisfactorily explain to me why both CNN and the New York Times should have done what they did, and were not being mean-spirited in nature, petty, bitter, angry, vengeful, and hateful then I’ll take it down. Otherwise, it’s staying up as a crystal clear photographic impression of the exact same kind of treatment the Bush administration has received from the press, and a reminder of the divisive and hateful venom that kind of reportage injects into the national bloodstream. No offense to the Obamas, this picture isn’t targeted at you, it’s targeted at your Ministry of Propaganda. You might want to have a talk with them.

“In the spirit of reaching across the aisle, we owe it to the Democrats to show their president the exact same kind of respect and loyalty that they have shown our recent Republican president.”
