If you missed it, we had one hell of a “Jihadi Killer Hour Last Night”. Fuckin Howie called in and had to jump off again fast after asking Nicole Conley, the widow of Corporal Matt Conley a question, to keep from crying again. There wasn’t many a dry eye in everyone’s respective house and the chat room slowed to a near standstill. “This is very rough stuff….very difficult to listen to” said many, and just as many would cheer with the rousing patriotism and inspiration that Nicole also brought. She represents the best, and then some, of all that is right and good about the women of our nation’s warriors who are at war. And she’s a damn fine, model- looking 23 year old young single mother - anyone who’d like to go any further with that, just go through me.

The thing, I don’t know man, the thing about this particular show were her extraordinary strength and personal qualities, as well as the fact that we seemed to clear away any fluff, most anything not relevant or uninteresting, and get really into the most important elements of the human experience as she lived it, rocketing sraight into both the hearts of darkness and light.

This has to be one of the best Jihadi Hours ever. There have been several that were great and this one is heart-wrenching, powerful and shows the true strength of the human spirit.

Great show, Pat. Nothing on broadcast radio has the opportunity or the possibility to delve into information like you are able to do. Please keep it going, your show just may be the future of uncensored information transfer. If the Fairness Doctrine makes a comeback, get prepared to hire a crew and have your career changed to talk show host.

“The war in Iraq not only has the lowest death rate of any of America’s wars, but those who are wounded have much greater odds of survival. A 2004 study in The New England Journal of Medicine found that only 10 percent of wounds in Iraq were mortal. In the Vietnam War this rate was 24 percent, and in World War II 30 percent. Our combat wounded get better help faster, from medics, from Forward Surgical Teams, and Combat Support Hospitals. For those whose wounds are so severe they have to be evacuated to the United States, the average time for the trip home has dropped from 45 days in the Vietnam era to less than four days. None of this comes without a cost, but it is a cost our society is willing to pay.”
