That is an utter falsehood.
I have seen interview after interview with average African-Americans, and to a person they each said that race was the most important thing for them choosing Obama. Every black politician all the way up to Condi Rice is saying that they are very proud that Obama is President.
Well, that’s all well and good. To a certain degree, that’s understandable.
But Al Sharpton saying that this is the fulfillment of MLK’s “Content of their character-color of their skin” statement is a bunch of bullshit.
Obama was not elected based on the content of his character.
No fucking way.
