The Palin-Killing Abuse Of Office Saga In Ohio Continues … And Runs Deeper

The woman who not only used her power and office to dig into the personal information of the man who dared ask the democrat candidate for POTUS a pointed question, Joe The Plumber, has now been found to have used her government computer to do campaign work for said dem candidate (recall, if you will, the outcry at the suspicion that Gov. Sarah Palin may have possibly used her personal computer for government business … in spite of her computer being hacked) … and now is on “paid administrative leave” during her investigation.
Now, she, and that political cow Frau Brunner, have been given ’security protection’.
Ohio elections chief gets security detail
COLUMBUS, Ohio  The State Highway Patrol says it is providing Ohio’s top elections chief with security protection.
The patrol says Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner received death threats, harassing phone calls and a suspicious package at her office leading up to the presidential election. State troopers decline to say how long the protection is expected to continue.
A Columbus man was arrested last month and accused of calling Brunner’s office and threatening to assassinate her or her family.
A security detail also has been provided to Helen Jones-Kelley, director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. She is on paid administrative leave while the state investigates whether she used state computers for political purposes.

To whom it may concern,
(Concerning Helen Jones Kelly)
In May of 03′, my two children were wrongfully removed by “Montgomery County Children Services” in Dayton, Ohio. At the time, Ms. Helen Jones-Kelly was the director for “Montgomery County Children Services”.
After I got my children back in the home I filed suit against children services. After four years in two different courts, we survived “Summary Judgement”. Through the process of litigation, me and my family were recieving public assistance.
I noticed that on several occasions when the court would file a motion, Montgomery County Job and Family Services would also need certain documents by that deadline of those court dates. Before Ms. Jones was appointed Director of the State, Ms. Jones agreed to talk about a settlement. Former prosecutor Marcell Dezarn was prosecutor at that time but has retired.
When I was in Philadelphia, I applied for a drivers license and attained it but several later, I recieved two letters from Ohio Child Support and Pennsylvania Drivers Bureau ordered to take my license.
Every step of the way there were obstacles since I filed this lawsuit. I would always say that “I beleive Ms. Jones was tampering with the computer. Too much of a coincidence. The inspector general’s office is also investigating our claim as well. I recently recieved a letter from Ohio Dept Of Job And Family Services stating that there was information that I was working when I wasn’t.
I discovered that this company was out of California. Later I recieved a check for $3500 out of Calf. My family has suffered severly since the removal of my children. I asked Ohio Dept Of Job And Family Services to conduct an administrative review in which they approved for any procedural due process violations that Montgomery County Children Services may have
committed.
After there investigation they found no procedural due process violations but yet, the judge discovered in the defendants Summary Judgement according to Summary Judgement rule that there were.
I’m writing you for your help, so me and my family can move on. I haven’t worked a job consistently in 7 years. In 2001, MCCS wanted to get involved because of my wife’s mental health issues. I told them that is that necessary because I am a fit parent but they demanded that it was necessary.
I finally gained employment at the time my children were taken but since the removal I have been having depression/anxiety. [ ... ]

Toledo police records clerk charged with misconduct in ‘Joe The Plumber’ info inquiry
Toledo BLADE STAFF
A Toledo police records clerk has been charged with “gross misconduct” for allegedly making an improper inquiry for information regarding the man known as “Joe the Plumber,” city officials said Tuesday afternoon.
Julie McConnell, a police employee since April, 1995, requested information Oct. 16 on Samuel Wurzelbacher, who gained national attention when he asked presidential candidate Barack Obama a question. Authorities said this was done for non-law enforcement purposes and was a violation of department policy and state policy governing law regarding the use of the Law Enforcement Automated Data System database.
A discipline hearing will be scheduled within the next 10 days to discuss the matter. Ms. McConnell is a member of AFSCME Local 7.
Texas Mom comments:
I read a couple of places where she was such a good and loyal measily office clerk who just made a mistake doing a favor for a reporter . . . looks like they are going to try to sweep it under the rug. Most of the other reporting is about Helen Jones-Kelley . . .
So, being a Dollardite, Texas Mom went looking for answers. Here’s her email to the Toledo Blade:
Mr. Zaborney,
I have been leaving messages for the Toledo Police Chief and emailing the Toledo Blade . . . I can’t get any further information on the story below other than the hearing has been postponed (I guess indefinitely from what I can tell) . . .
Can you tell me who the reporter was that she leaked the information to - was it a Toledo Blade reporter?
Thank you,

Toledo police clerk cited in use of database on ‘Joe the Plumber’
By MARK ZABORNEY
BLADE STAFF WRITER
A records clerk in the Toledo police investigative services bureau will face departmental charges of gross misconduct because a state database was used to access information about the Springfield Township man known worldwide as “Joe the Plumber.”
The clerk, Julie McConnell, will be the subject of a disciplinary hearing, likely to be scheduled next week, Chief Mike Navarre said yesterday.
Ms. McConnell was hired by the police department in April, 1995, and is a member of Local 7, American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees.
An internal investigation began when Toledo police received a call from the Ohio Highway Patrol, asking why information on Samuel “Joe the Plumber” Wurzelbacher was pulled. The chief said Ms. McConnell looked up the information at the request of a local television reporter to confirm Mr. Wurzelbacher’s address.
The reporter was interviewed as part of the investigation.
Such information, though found on public records, was accessed through the Law Enforcement Automated Data System, often called LEADS.
“You can’t use that database unless it was for law enforcement purposes,” Chief Navarre said. “If a crime was committed and she was looking up the address or the name of a victim or witness, that would be OK.”
He said Ms. McConnell has no past disciplinary record. He said it would be premature to talk about possible discipline.
“Discipline is usually a result of the seriousness of the [offense] and the employee’s prior disciplinary record,” Chief Navarre said.
“She’s a good employee and is highly regarded by her fellow employees and her superiors. I don’t think there was any ill intent here. She made a mistake.
“If it wasn’t Joe the Plumber, we probably wouldn’t be having this conversation,” the chief concluded.
Don Czerniak, president of AFSCME Local 7, said that at the hearing the city will have to produce proof the charge is warranted. He’d received no documentation from the city by late yesterday afternoon, when Chief Navarre issued a news release.
“At this point, all they have is charges,” Mr. Czerniak said. “They have to prove her guilty.”

And so, Texas Mom updates me with this:
Maggie,
Chief Navarre just returned my call . . . He said that the hearing for Julie is December 5th. He said that she will be represented by the Union and the Police Department will present their case and then a “judge” from the City of Toledo’s Human Resource Department will make the decision. He assured me that it will not be swept under the rug.
So, this appears to run deeper than just Jones-Kelley’s office … and ALL heads should roll after a full and serious investigation.
Texas Mom will keep me posted … and I’ll let yunz know … as Drudge says: DEVELOPING
