Time to take back the Republican Party and re-energize it!
Either this man or Ken Blackwell from the state of Ohio would have been my choice.
Both are strong conservatives who are their own men and I have great faith in.
The democrats like to tout how Obama is the first African-American POTUS … and we all know that is simply erroneous.
This is an excellent choice for the RNC and for the republicans around this country.

GOP elects first black national party chairman
WASHINGTON (AP) - Michael Steele was elected Republican National Committee chairman on Friday, defeating the incumbent party chief and three other challengers over six rounds of voting to become the first black to lead the GOP.
The former Maryland lieutenant governor takes over a beleaguered GOP as Republicans seek to rebound from back-to-back defeats in national elections that gave Democrats control of Congress and the White House.
“As a little boy growing up in this town, this is awesome,” said Steele, the most moderate candidate in the field and considered an outsider because he’s not a committee member.
In a brief acceptance speech, the new GOP chairman struck a tone of inclusiveness.
“We’re going to say to friend and foe alike: We want you to be a part of us, we want you to with be with us, and for those who wish to obstruct, get ready to get knocked over,” Steele said.
He won 91 votes out of a possible 168 in the sixth round. A simple majority of 85 was needed, but it took six rounds for Steele to win.

Mixed feelings about this one. Wanted Blackwell, much more conservative, but definitely an improvement over His Royal Dipshit: Duncan the Milquetoast.

Blackwell is a good man and would have done a good job, BUT I love Steele and he has a more popular appeal and recognition, notice how excited the base got when he took the stage during the RNC! He is a non-apoligetic conservative and can effectivly comunicate what conservatism is about! PLUS he has a personal grievance with the O’dipshit so it will make for an interesting exchange, ya see Obongo went out of his way to stab Steele in the back, he during the primarys in 2006[i believe] and Hussain came out from chicago to campaign for his opponent and told the black people to vote for substance not race but turned around and went to Tenn. to campaign for a black dimocRAT and told the black people to vote for “another brother in the senate” this really pisssed off Steele and now its pay back!!!! Black people are only cool if they are dimocRATS!???
The interesting thing to watch is how the libutards are going to wiggle around this, They have called Steele an “uncle tom” and “sell out” so how can they make such racial statements when their potus is black? Plus Steele can be criticle of Hussain without being called “racist” which I think alot of people have been struggeling with this. And he will be very criticle of not only Hussain but congress.

Steele is center-right. thats what its going to take to unify the party. he’ll be the perfect choice to mount a comeback.

I hate to step too close to breaking the “11th Commandment”, but Steele was my last choice and he has a lot to prove to me. I think that core Conservatism is the key to a resurgent GOP, but moderate Conservatism is a proven loser. I think that A-As are a dry hole for the GOP, but that asians and hispanics are rich ore to be mined. I think that the culture of Palin’s “Real America” is the best/truest of American culture, but his culture of metro DC is too much the culture at root of our problems.
As an official BHO critic, I see some value to Steele.
There maybe hope for the good people to actually have our country back. If we work hard, Pray alot that god give us a chance and show him we really do deserve to be gods country again. I like Steele & have always enjoyed his commentary on Fox News. They are calling him moderate, but I don’t recall ever seeing him take a moderate postion. He is a good guy & I hope he pushes the party back to the Reagan fundamentals. That is what it will take to put the RNC back on top.

A: My views are pretty much in line with the governor’s. I grew up under some of the strictest gun control laws in the country. You can have all the gun control laws in the country, but if you don’t enforce them, people are going to find a way to protect themselves. We need to recognize that bad people are doing bad things with these weapons. It’s not the law-abiding citizens, it’s not the person who uses it as a hobby.
Q: Should people have access to buy assault weapons?
A: Society should draw lines. What do you need an assault weapon for, if you’re going hunting? That’s overkill. But I don’t think that means you go to a total ban for those who want to use gun for skeet shooting or hunting or things like that But what’s the point of passing gun laws if we’re not going to enforce them? If you want to talk about gun control, that’s where you need to start. We’ve got 300 gun laws on the books right now. At the end of the day, it’s about how we enforce the law.
