Your Help Needed – GW College Repulicans Issue Press Release On Anti-Christian Hate Crime - College Dems Choose Junior Member As Scapegoat
Tweet
The campus police have begun an invsetigation, and the relevant members of the College Republicans have all filed Campus Police reports, and given sworn statements. Thanks to all the heat provided by you, PatDollard.com readers, the University has at least taken the initial first steps. Let’s see if they actually do something, or are just acting pro-forma for a bit of the old CYA.
I encourage everyone to swarm Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, Fox News’ Religion Editor Lauren Green, Washington DC correspondent Griff Jenkins at Griff.Jenkins@foxnews.com, and Washington Times reporter Michael Drost, here, who wrote the story in October that the College Dems intended to launch a harrassment campaign against the Colleg Repulicans, just like the heinous one at hand.
The problem with the College Dems’ claim that a lone junior member desecrated and then displayed the crucicifixes is that it goes nowhere towards explaining why Executive Board Members who were in the office space and saw them displayed, did nothing to remove them. It would appear that a junior member of the organization was persuaded that he had to take a bullet for the greater good of the organization and their Leftist cause.
My suggestion is that you contact the College Democrats directly here: comm@gwcollegedemocrats.com
Their statement follows the CR press release.

GWCR’s Denounce Cross Desecration in Their Office
George Washington University, Washington, DC- The GW College
Republicans released the following statement:
The College Republicans are outraged by the desecration of Christian symbols
that occurred in our shared office with the College Democrats. These
sacrilegious acts are offensive to people of all faiths and all political persuasions.
The College Republicans and the College Democrats have always shared and
amicable working relationship. Regardless, the fact that this was allowed to
happen on their watch, though unsanctioned, is a complete affront to the values
the College Republicans represent and promote on campuses all across our
nation.
We have been working with university officials every step of the way to resolve
this issue to ensure that those responsible are brought forward.
Brief Synopsis: Early this week crosses used in a pro-Life display on campus and
stored in the College Republicans office, were taken by a member of the College
Democrats and desecrated in a highly disrespectful manner and left in our office.

And now, the College Dems statement on their website:
Vandalism in the CD-CR office was first brought to the attention of leaders of the executive board by leaders of the College Republicans. CD leaders immediately began an investigation and found that no members had visited the office we share with the CRs in the two days since the purported day of the incident. Additionally, one member stepped forward and claimed responsibility for the situation and issued an apology to the CD board for their thoughtless actions.
Leaders of the College Democrats do not condone the disrespectful vandalism of religious figures. We would never as an organization sanction such reprehensible conduct and we are tremendously upset that the organization’s trust was violated by a member who chose to act otherwise. We respect and welcome individuals from all religious backgrounds, and we extend our sincerest apology to those who were offended by the actions of one of our members.
CD leaders have been in constant communication with the CR executive board since they brought the issue to our attention and plan to make a public apology to their board on behalf of the organization.
The CDs and the CRs are resolving the situation between the two groups in an amicable way and hope to continue our working relationship in our shared office space and further interactions between the two organizations. We are also supportive and forthcoming with efforts by university officials to act as mediators in a sensitive matter and we appreciate their continued involvement.
