Napolitano Talks Tough: ‘I Want Criminal Illegal Aliens Off The Streets’
Homeland secretary wants criminal aliens out of US
WASHINGTON - If you’re a criminal and you’re not entitled to be in the United States, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano wants you out of the country. Napolitano wants what she calls “criminal aliens” off American streets. She is looking at existing immigration enforcement programs to see if taxpayers are getting the most bang for their buck.
“That sounds very simple, but it’s historically not been done,” Napolitano said, speaking to reporters and senior Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials Thursday.
About 113,000 criminals who were in the U.S. illegally were deported last year, Immigration and Customs Enforcement said. The agency estimates there are now as many as 450,000 criminals in federal, state and local detention centers who are in the country illegally.
Napolitano said she wants to improve data-sharing among local, state and federal facilities. So far, there are jails in 26 counties across the country with computer systems that can talk instantly with immigration systems.
The goal, Napolitano said, is for federal immigration officials to know whether an inmate is in the country illegally immediately after he is processed into a detention facility. After the criminal serves his or her sentence, immigration officials can be ready to deport that person right away.
ICE spokesman Richard Rocha said the agency plans to expand this connectivity to all state and local detention centers over the next four years.
Napolitano, whose job includes overseeing immigration laws, says she also will go after criminal fugitives who are in the country illegally.

I have a love-hate relationship with this woman. On one hand, the Phoenix photoradar epidemic is more harmful then helpful, and screws pleny of Phonecians (Me included) out of hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. On the OTHER hand, being that she came from a state that has one of the worst illegal immigration problems in the nation, she sure is motivated, and has the backgound experience to actually know what she’s up against and to do something about it. Lets hope she cleans up our streets and gets those illegal free-loaders off of our streets and out of our country.

definition. The soon to be former Governor defineS criminal Alien is someone who is here Illegal then commits crime ignoring the fact the second the Alien crossed the border they are criminal. THEY ARE ALL POTENTIAL VOTERS UNTIL THEY

Erik you really need to dig into her background this women will do nothing to prevent illegal aliens from entering this nation. Yes because she was governor of Arizona you would think that she would have excellent experience at doing just that, but with that said she never worked against the illegal alien problem. Oh she put on public shows to make it look like she was but in essence she really did nothing to prevent the onslaught that we have seen.
In fact in many cases she worked with the invaders to promote rights to them that not even a legal citizen of Arizona had.
The only good thing that has happened out of her being tasked with this position in homeland security is that she is no longer the state of Arizona’s Governor. I am praying that Brewer is as conservative and patriotic as I believe she is, we shall soon find out.
For the rest of the nation let me just say this, if you thought you had illegal alien and open boarder problems before just wait till you see what you’re about to have coming now. For me I see a financial future in purchasing stock in petroleum jelly.
From what I’ve heard, she has blocked the GOP from pushing through tougher laws every chance she got.

I agree with you, we expect this problem will continue to grow. If the general public ever had to personally deal with illegal alien criminals, on a daily basis, read that, aka: gang members from Central America & Mexico, (Mara Salvatrucha aka MS-13), and see how they collectively spread fear and terror, from extortion, murder, robbery, kidnapping, drug dealing, etc… They wouldn’t want them deported, they’d want them hung. They commit these crimes collectively, and prey on their fellow humans as a group, without conscience, or mercy. Their methods are simple: pay or die. They should receive the penalty they are so eager to dish out.

She constantly placed roadblocks in front of Sheriff Joe. Now she wnats to sound tough on illegals.
