Given that it’s been universally recognized that journalism is dead, as all journalists have committed professional suicide in order to enter new lives as propagandists, they obviously have no right whatsoever to complain about not being treated as journalists, but as propagandists. The whole infantile spectacle of all the whining propagandists quoted in that linked article is demeaning to all proper propagandists. In the early days, it was important for their audience to believe they were actually journalists, in order for their arguments to carry the irresistible weight of absolute persuasion. But the audience is alert to the game now ladies and gentlemen of the professionally written word – - the con is over, the deception no longer possible.
