SHARON STONE - STONE GETS HER HISTORY WRONG AT PRESIDENTIAL BALL
Hollywood star SHARON STONE got her American history wrong while addressing an gala in honour of new U.S. President BARACK OBAMA in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday (20Jan09).
The actress was the guest speaker at a party hosted by Edward Rendell, the governor of her home state of Pennsylvania.
But she was left red-faced after taking to the stage and claiming the state’s most historical monument, the Liberty Bell, was “brought back to America”.
Stone said, “We’re gonna ring that liberty bell that we brought with us here to America. We’re gonna make the American Dream into an American reality.”
The bell was in fact shipped to its home in Philadelphia in the 1750s, when Pennsylvania was still a British colony - and members of the governor’s entourage informed an embarrassed Stone about her mistake after she stepped down from the podium.
During her speech, the star also talked about her tough upbringing, telling guests, “My mother stood in those queues outside church kitchens. I never had enough clothes. I didn’t just have hand me downs, I had hand me ups from my younger brothers.”

Why would you think that a woman who’s career was launched by uncrossing her legs while not wearing panties would be intelligent enough to understand History, or the present for that matter? I had a similar experience, only in DC with a certain former first lady, and it was when I was in uniform… I was asked to leave a certain facility and change into civilian clothes if I wanted to come back. I just politely explained that whomever had issue with me in uniform could suck my cock publicly right where I stood. I was threatened by the dude that he would have me arrested, I said, “For what? Being in the military? Fuck yourself.” and stood my ground. They don’t like it when a scene is made, because it calls out their disdain for the military. Fuck em. They also don’t like the scene being made because they will have to answer as to why they don’t like the fine young men and women in uniform.
