Obama’s New Whitehouse Website Slams Bush
The new White House website unveiled by President Barack Obama’s team Tuesday includes a shot at former President Bush’s response to Hurricane Katrina.
Under the “agenda†portion of the site regarding Katrina, it reads: “President Obama will keep the broken promises made by President Bush to rebuild New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. He and Vice President Biden will take steps to ensure that the federal government will never again allow such catastrophic failures in emergency planning and response to occur.â€
“President Obama swiftly responded to Hurricane Katrina,†the statement on the site continues. “Citing the Bush Administration’s ‘unconscionable ineptitude’ in responding to Hurricane Katrina, then-Senator Obama introduced legislation requiring disaster planners to take into account the specific needs of low-income hurricane victims.â€
The site also points out that Obama “visited thousands of Hurricane survivors in the Houston Convention Center and later took three more trips to the region†and worked with the Congressional Black Caucus to help rebuild in the aftermath of Katrina.
In interviews prior to leaving the White House, Bush defended the federal government’s response to the hurricane.
“The truth of the matter is the response was pretty darn quick if you think about the fact that the Coast Guard and a lot of brave kids were pulling 30,000 people off of roofs as soon as the storm passed, as soon as they found people on those roofs,†Bush said during an interview with CNN last week.
Bush also said his lowest point in office came when he heard “people saying George Bush is a racist because of the response†to the hurricane.

Hardball1911 is right. Katrina was the biggest natural disaster we have ever seen, and the response was totally fucked up by our LOCAL politicians. The federal gov can’t move in until the Governor request assistance. I think at the time Democrat Gov. Blanco, who was a total idiot, had no fuckin clue what to do. Ray Nagin was no better. Some things around here have gotten back to normal, we are back to having one of the highest murder rates in the world.
What did they rebuild? I was just in NO and the ghetto is still the ghetto. Billions and Billions of dollars were appropriated and donated. What happened? Ray baby and his buddies got rich.
But…if the choosen one says it, it must be so.
I’m gonna have to hide in my batcave because I don’t know if I can take this for four years.
This guy ran his mouth for months, and has no ass to back it up. His day has arrived, we’ll see how long that typical smart-assed grin of his lasts.
Like I said, this is going to be fun to watch. I hope he chokes on every word he has lividly spoken. And as far as racist inferences, Obama’s campaign is built and fortified by racist inferences, all you have to do is be quiet and listen.
They have no real bitch about Pres. Bush so they are going to twist and flap over things that in all honesty no human being had much control over. Fact is there should not have been 30,000 people to pull off roofs in NO after Katrina. They were told to get the hell out for days before Katrina hit. And a great deal of the responsibility that they were still there lays squarely on the people themselves and the Governor of LA ’s shoulders.
Next argument in the BDS?? We’ve got logic and fact for that one too.

For the record in the first 24 hrs alone, the USCG rescued more people than on any given year.
BTW, Bush met and shook the hands of each and every one of the USCG stationed in New Orleans after the storm, Looking each dead in the eye as he did so.
One member told me that he would follow the orders of Bush anywhere to do anything because he respected him so much.
I like how people still place the blame on President Bush for katrine instead of Kathleen Blanco, except the people of Louisiana who voted the bitch out. Something about three days before landfall and turning down Bush’s offer of assistance BEFORE the shit hit the fan.
They should prepare to be slamed with fact rather than perception. Do they really want to go there?
Most intelligent Americans (to few of us left now) realize that the only way President Bush could have ‘forced’ Gov. Blanco and/or Mayor Nagin to actually stick to the pre-existing contingency plains for an emergency like Katrina - a mandatory evacuation of New Orleans - was to declare martial law BEFORE the Hurricane struck. Then order such an evacuation personally.
This rehashing, yet again, of the ‘race card’ by Obama demonstrates the most insidious nature of his psychology.
(Along with the equally insidious tactics of this now thoroughly radicalized Demo-communist party.)
I’ve often shied away from commenting on this particular part of Obama’s ‘philosophy’ - but this post has eradicated all pervious doubts in my mind.
The single driving force behind President Obama - even more so then his Saul Alinsky-inspired Socialist revolution-ism - is his abject Racism!
Obama HATES white people (as does his wife Michelle). They despise the fact that euro-western civilization, over the last 500 or so years, came to dominate this world’s cultural, political, and economic existence.
Furthermore… his whole presidential campaign - rather then transcending race - actually exposed the depths of racial hatred that has been fostered & nurtured, for years, by the elitist-white hypocrites who now rule the Democrat Party.
In Obama’s, and his Party’s, world view - white people (particularly America’s white people) are to be eternally damned. Therefore the whole ‘western world’ must finally be punished for the ’sins’ of its past. This IS a pathologically psychotic ‘philosophy’ for anyone to have. And should scare the living shit out of anyone wise enough to see where this (Obama’s) ‘insanity’ is likely to take us.
I hope everyone had the chance to read about the obama throngs in DC getting stuck in 6 hour lines, stuck in tunnels and missing the whole (botched) swearing in process. After all of their efforts to kiss the holy one’s ass, they got to sit in tunnels with the rest of their socialist friends.
I read a blog about an idiot who gave his last 2 years to the obama campaign and got a “purple” ticket so he could witness the inauguration. He missed the whole thing sitting in a tunnel, HAH. What a ironic foreshadowing for this poor ignorant soul.

Obambam thinks it’s ok to drill holes into the viable born and unborn as long as it is cool with the degenerate-killer-doctor that does it and the worthless mother and father that gave life to the poor helpless child.
