Springsteen Takes Walmart’s Cash, Then Trashes Them

NEW YORK – The Boss is owning up to a mistake. In an interview with Sunday’s New York Times, Bruce Springsteen says he shouldn’t have made a deal with Wal-Mart. This month, the store started exclusively selling a Springsteen greatest hits CD.
Some fans were critical because Springsteen has been a longtime supporter of worker’s rights, and Wal-Mart has faced criticism for its labor practices.
Springsteen told the Times that his team didn’t vet the issue as closely as he should have, and that he “dropped the ball on it.”
Springsteen went on to say: “It was a mistake. Our batting average is usually very good, but we missed that one. Fans will call you on that stuff, as it should be.”
Springsteen released his new CD “Working on a Dream” this week and is performing the halftime show at the Super Bowl.

Bruce, you are beyond foolish. Walmart is one of the few companies that is turning a profit in these tough times. Walmart is a massive employer of Americans from all economic backgrounds. Walmart provides low prices, which helps every American through hard economic times. I cannot understand the level of your stupidity, bruce, so I will be changing the channel at half-time on sunday as my way of giving you the finger and a punch in the face. jackass.
Growing up on the NJ shore in the seventies, most of us hated this guy. One minute your in a bar having a good time the next thing you hundreds of people are pushing themselves in, why… because this jerk showed up to do a acoustic performance. After about the tenth time seeing him up close, you get sick of him and his music.
So, may I assume BS will be donating all the money that Wal-Mart payed him to charity?
So far it’s a win/win for BS, get paid and then get good press for slamming “evil” Wal-Mart.
I never liked his music, I have always thought it sucked ass and the words were stupid. Just one more shithead musician who thinks everyone loves him and want to hear him opine on domestic issues.
