  1. damn he’s lucky…when i was growing up my dad instructed me to never shoot into something harder than the bullet…or something reslilient like a tire….always be aware of what you’re shooting at…this dummy never had that lesson apparently

Isn’t that trick supposed to involve an apple?

  3. if that would have been even a 1/4 inch lower he would have been dead.

This is why ALL steel being shot at competitions are angled in one direction or another…

    Dumbass….

I was with a guy once to target shoot. He had a new 44 magnum that he wanted to try shooting with.
This was in the Arizona desert where there are a lot of rocks.
Well he started shooting rocks to break them, 12 inch diameter, right at his feet.
Another guy and I ran behind a truck and told him to stop shooting. He did and know one was hurt. Wanted to clobber him.

JI, you were with this guy?

Glad to have you here still…

    holy shit!

That stupid fucker is lucky to be alive. Too bad there was no rangemaster around to beat the shit out of him for doing something so mind-numbingly idiotic.

Of course that is no better than the retard who brought 7.62 Green-tip rifle ammo to the indoor range I go to a few years back….

He’s lucky..in the slow-mo part you see the bullet kick off the ground in front of him…so the round was rising as it struck his head.

This is a fake. For a couple reasons.

Firstly look at the initial round impact on the supposed target. Lets say that target was metal. High velocity round impacting on a steel target always goes “Pink” and the round is completely obliterated. We didn’t hear that here. Lets assume the target was wood in which case the round would have passed through the target and ended up in the backstop and would not have “come back”.

Due to the velocity it’s almost impossible to get a rifle bullet to come straight back. The slower the round the more possible it becomes (pistols CAN do this.) Glancing blows certainly can ricochet but the bullet direction rarely translates more then 90 degrees. Certainly not 180 degree’s.

Notice the puff of dust on the target when he fires. It looks like his impact was above the target and straight into the backstop. The wind MOVED the dust quickly from his RIGHT to his LEFT. Now watch the “bounce” impact shown about 15 feet in front of him above his left shoulder. You can see that impact and then you can see dirt and debris travel from his left to the right.. The opposite direction of the wind. This was a second shot to simulate a bounce.

Finally the “supposed” wound. Anyone that has seen even a minor cut to the scalp knows the blood pours forth in a big way. In the time it takes him to get over to the camera he’d have blood running down his face. Notice how the camera doesn’t show him snapping off the fishing line tied to his hat when he goes down to pick it up.

yea if you think about it it kind of does seem a little fake. i think if i got whacked with a bullet i would prob have jumped out of that seat instead of sat there.
