A comment on Sgt. Welsh’s “Big Hollywood” post yesterday:
I did my time in Iraq. I was wounded, I’m alive against all probability. I have several friends who died for America there.
We have a President with the blood of American troops on his hands. I will die not believing that, but knowing it. He did all he could to extend the killing, so we would leave, and the Democrats’ Vietnam II script, would have the ending they needed.
And when he couldn’t win by killing us, he tried to by insulting us, dishonoring those of us who were still fighting, those of us who had returned, those of us who who had been wounded, and those of us who were dead.

And when that lie was obviously just too big, and he had to acknowledge the success, he stole it from us, and handed it to our Sunni brothers-in-arms. The ones who fought with our weapons and our training, who we’d spent years winning over to our side, who lived in barracks with us, who fought shoulder to shoulder with us, whose wounds we treated, and whose dead bodies we carried from the field. In Obama’s mythology, we weren’t there. He now murdered us with his words.
And we soldier on, his lies gone with the wind, but etched forever in the history books. We willingly and happily absorb more blows and cuts, all that we must, from all enemies foreign and domestic.
As for Obama, if Rush Limbaugh merely criticizes, he weeps and gnashes his teeth with the pain.
There’s a reason why boys like Barack Obama don’t join the military.
I know for sure there’s one thing we’re going to learn, and that is what it’s like to have a President with absolutely no conscience, absolutely no sense of decency, absolutely no sense of honor.

You are so right. I can’t even begin to imagine the rage and feelings of betrayal, within every combat vet. Our vets truly are the best citizens among us; the Vietnam vets, like the ones of today got screwed over by the sinister elements of society. Yet those like yourself and my father, still love this nation in ways no one else can even approach. I’m not the best christian in the world, but I believe a those intent on doing evil, will answer to the maker. That includes just about everyone in Obama’s inner circle.
While the public’s attention span may be short, there are still plenty Americans who will never forgive the injustice committed against our heroes.

Amen to that post. I hold that same rage to pelosi, reid and murtha. They have the blood of Americans on their hands. My son was in Iraq at the time that reid was cheerleading our enemy. He told me they saw a spike in attacks following that statement. I believe the sniper that shot my son did it for the US demcratic party more than for battle field tactics. The line is drawn, my side is chosen. I give no quarter to any one in the democrat party, even down to the local dogcather. I want to sate my rage.

Body Armor Recalled
Over 18 months ago there was controversy over the procurement of body armor for our troops.
Then, as now, the argument was over testing results between Dragon Skin Body Armor and the armor supplied by Pinnacle Armor.
Except now, the Army has recalled as many as 16,000 sets of ceramic plates over the question of whether they had been fully tested.
An anonymous source at the DoD indicated that it acting proactively in advance of an Inspector General’s report that is expected in a few days, and which will apprarently reiterate the earlier contention that the testing of the plates was inadequate.
“This decision reflects the Army’s commitment to do everything within its power to be sure only the very best equipment is fielded to its soldiers,” the official said. He said, however, that there have been no reports of defects in the plates or deaths or injuries resulting from their use. The plates are being recalled so that soldiers will not worry that they are wearing unsafe armor, he said.
There is no question that both companies have a vested interest in selling their armor products to the military. It is hard to say what the motivation might be for the Inspector General to keep “digging until something was found that was not very solid” as was written in the Washington Times article. The motivation for a lack of full disclosure of testing data?
“I can’t imagine.”
One thing is clear. No matter who is the President or which party is in the majority, our fighting forces in theaters of operation like Afghanistan and Iraq deserve only the best possible equipment. That should be the easy decision.

The reason Obama didn’t join the military was because he thought he was above protecting the country. He thought he was above sacrifice, and above honor and commitment. In other words you typical self-worshiping arrogant Liberal. He views the military as dogs…HIS dogs now, not the country’s, seeing as he wants to get rid of the constitution for our oaths, and replace it with himself.
I do not believe our “President” has a conscience. he just uses his smile and charm to win people over along the way of getting one new job after another without accomplishing anything at his previous job. someone who could talk like that about this countrys finest and then become President, not feeling bad or showing remorse to the fact that he had extended the war, increased the killing of our boys. i believe most would consider that a sociopath. i will never forget those words. not a single one of them. its a damn shame and our military and our country deserve better

The Left have always tried to compare our republic to a third world country(before Obama). They say the rich rule etc. If this is so, or becoming a reality, if like in the third world the military have to step in and take control: so be it. I would support it. I feel sick everyday that I wake up knowing that man is in office.
He degraded our troops from the get go and only started to talk like he respected them and supported them when he knew he needed votes. If all the American people had known what he had done I believe the results of this election would have been much different.
