Ever hit a large root with your lawn mower blade? This is much worse.
Wonder how much that test cost. It is conclusive … you blow something up inside the turbine and the jet doesn’t work anymore.
That was probably a test to work on containing the damage inside the nacelle. Destructive testing is indeed expensive, but it tells the engineers more than a computer model ever could.
So much for ethanol…
Everclear is not healthy for living things or jet engines.
