The mullahs scrapped their nuke program after we took Afghanistan and Iraq. They knew we were just looking for an excuse to settle old scores. The only reason we invaded Iraq instead of Iran was that we not only had plenty of causus belli but have been officially at war since Desert Storm. Saddam never lived up to his cease-fire obligations, and Clinton basically fought a low-scale war against him.

After the fall of Baghdad, the less delusional mullahs got the message and didn’t do anything to earn an ass-kicking, but then they watched the Left tear this country to pieces and decided that we didn’t have the will to fight another war. Thanks, Nancy!

Iraq, I think, was in addition to the more direct goals was originally intended to be this era’s and that region’s “Tour of the Great White Fleet”. WWI was on the verge, and Japan was already stirring. TR sent the new and mighty US fleet on a pointed world tour that along with “big stick” diplomacy and stamping out some “bushfires” postponed WWI for ten years and kept the Japanese mostly in a box for three plus decades. The DemoRATS “torpedoed” Bush’s “Tour”, a nuclear Iran, Islamofascists resurgent, Israel essentially at war again, and more dead Americans were a price that they were willing to pay to put little Barry in the White House.

Let me guess, the democrats will blame BUSH! For this! They will say he dragged his feet for eight years. But the truth is
after the fall of Iraq if the left would not have gone out of it’s way to embolden our enemy’s, and instead joined the rest of America in defeating our enemy’s, we would have bombed these swine back to the stone age within 6 months of the fall of Iraq, resulting in stopping most of the insurgency that killed Americans over the last 4 years. That would have completely changed the current dynamic in the middle east. It would not be perfect, but we would have almost all these ass hats, including the Palestinians wide eyed at this point.
