Encouraging your country’s enemy during a war so those enemies commit heinous atrocities you find repulsive and your country’s resolve is weakened. Is that a war crime? If you know or should know that your public vitriol against your country in a time of war will encourage the enemy to kill innocent people, is that a war crime? Is disclosing state secrets that help your country fight a war against a vicious enemy a war crime? Even if you reasonably expect people will die because of the disclosure? Is repeating a known lie about why your country was forced into war, when you know the lie undermines your country’s interests and encourages the enemy, a war crime?
