However, I can tell you what I have seen in New Orleans, an amazing engineering feat to build up the levees to project height (congress had refused funding this for decades before Katrina), the local natural gas utility replacing its pre-WW2 distribution system to modern day standards, a few sidewalk repairs and some street potholes packed with asphalt patch material. It is still a good idea to use a Hummer or offroad vehicle when driving around the streets of New Orleans. They are horrible. Everyone knows that Landrieu is a loon. The only reason she got half the votes that she received was because the people thought that she would bring home the bacon which she obviously is incapable of doing. Her opponent in the last election, Kennedy, was a wishy washy political animal that Rove converted to the GOP. He is not a RINO, but one who always goes the way he thinks that the political wind is blowing, and a lazy one at that.
